Le Petit Prince...

Having heard about a unique dining experience in Dubai, we were convinced to check it out when we stumbled across a Groupon offer online.

The evening is built around an innovative dining concept that follows culinary exploits of Le Petit Chef as he travels the world in the footsteps of Marco Polo.

The visuals were fantastic - with Le Petit Chef wandering in and out of his "travel book" and out of the book and onto the table cloth as he spoke of his travels.  Other characters entered into scenes and the whole table would change colours and themes to reflect his different destinations.

The food naturally paired with the region in which Le Petit Chef was travelling.

While the concept was intimate and interactive, there is certainly potential to grow.  More details and information about where he travelled and slightly more tasty dishes would go a long way to building this attraction well beyond a cult following.

Eat, drink and be merry...

Some good news means celebration at the divine Tresind, where the fusion food is fabulous and the elaborate drinks deserve a enthusiastic shout-out of their own.

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

The Courtyard Playhouse has brought London's theatre scene to Dubai with their frequent live-screenings.

Hosting the National Theatre's "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" with the wonderous Imelda Staunton and Conleth Hill, the Playhouse's three hour production kept us all on the edge of our seats as George and Martha's college after-party became increasingly toxic and the turbulent truth was ultimately brought to light.

A gripping night of theatre that felt almost as if were were there with them in person...

La La Mer...

La Mer is a new beach development created by the developer, Meraas.  It opened back in October and has been met with rave reviews.

Boasting a lovely beach with extensive views of the downtown, as well as some inviting restaurants and a shopping area with original boutiques and wonderful street art, this area is growing more and more popular as it quickly gets discovered.

And our routine of walking the beach followed by brunch on the patio of Pain De Quotidien is quickly becoming a regular habit....

The art of bedmaking...

This (edit: unbridled creativity and pure genius) is what happens when Geoff is left in charge of making the bed...
