As the Fall began, the new theatre season started. And it kicked off with a
classic. Twelve Angry Men.
Even though we
know the storyline well, the play is always a powerful one. It was the first time that many in the audience had seen the play, and it was a delight to see their reactions to the slow changeover in the jury from guilty to not guilty and the examination of the psychological biases that people brought to the jury room.
And this version – with an amateur Indian, Arab and Filipino cast, directed by a first-time Director – performing to a crowd that did not appear to know
the outcome, gave new life to this timeless masterwork.
