We were very excited to discover a theatre in Dubai that hosts live performances.
The show we chose was a series of 10-minute plays that covered a whole
variety of topics.
When we arrived, the
foyer was teeming with people, making us even more stoked about what was
to come.
The intro was energizing –
the man running the event clearly passionate about the arts and these 10-minute
plays. We couldn’t wait to watch what was
in store.
And then the plays started.
The first was passable.
But it went quickly downhill from there.
Even though they each were only ten minutes long, they felt never-ending. The scripts were strange, the acting dramatic
(but not in a good way), and the overall experience painful.
We took the chance to slip away in the first intermission.
We are hopeful that we just picked a play that wasn't to our taste and have decided to go back for another performance. But next time we will make sure to read more reviews before booking!
