Horses are a passion for people in this region. So much so that HH Sheikh Mohammed founded Godolphin - the global thoroughbred and horseracing stable - and the Dubai World Cup - one of the biggest sporting events of the year. 
Taking place the last week of March at the spectacular Meydan Racecourse, Dubai's World Cup event awards $30 million US in prize money. No wonder people come from around the world for the race!
A couple of days prior to race day, is "Breakfast With the Stars". Starting at 6am, guests can come out and watch the horses and their jockeys practicing and preparing.
While the race teams work, guests relax with an enormous and mouth-watering buffet breakfast, enjoying a delightful band play, street comics perform and key event players give updates about the big day. We won't get out of bed before sunrise for many things but this was worth it. After such excitement, it was hard to believe we still had a full day of work ahead...
